St. Thomas, USVI
Owner's Version - 3 Cabin/3 Head
From the immaculate engine rooms to the clean, crack-free gel coat and excellent condition of cabinetry and joinery, she reflects both light use and meticulous ownership. The current owner has invested heavily in updating her systems and making the vessel turn-key, with a long list of updates in 2025.
As a three-cabin Owner’s Version, the starboard hull is dedicated to a private suite with a walk-in shower, dedicated desk/office space, and a huge increase in storage over the 4-cabin charter models. In 2025, the owner added custom Eisenglass and bug enclosures for the cockpit and flybridge. This setup creates a protected living area that remains comfortable during rain or heavy winds, effectively doubling the usable square footage while at anchor or underway.
Currently cruising the USVI, Kindred Soul is positioned for an efficient, tax-free handover to new owners. With the recent haul out in late 2025 for bottom paint and sail drive seals, there is no deferred maintenance to address. She is ready to continue cruising the Eastern Caribbean today.
We know that static photos can’t capture the true experience of being onboard. To provide the transparency you deserve before booking flights and making travel arrangements, we’ve created this immersive 360° walkthrough.
Exterior & Deck
The Lagoon 450F offers a level of versatility and space that usually requires moving into the 50-foot category. While often compared to 44 or 45-foot competitors, the 450 is actually 45 feet 10 inches long and nearly 1.5 feet wider than most in its class. This extra beam creates a stable platform at sea and translates into massive volume in the cockpit and salon. The 4.3-foot draft remains one of the best features for this size range, allowing you to access shallow Bahamas anchorages that keep deeper draft catamarans further offshore.
Salon & Galley
The salon and galley flow seamlessly into the cockpit, creating the open-concept living area that made the 450 a benchmark for cruising design. The interior joinery and cabinetry remain in excellent condition, showing the care of a private owner rather than the wear of a high-traffic rental. The galley is equipped for real living with a new 2025 Panasonic convection, microwave, and air fryer oven. For climate control and privacy, the salon windows have been treated with a high-grade ceramic tint. Whether you are prepping a meal at anchor or navigating from the internal station, the 360-degree visibility and natural light make the salon the heart of the home.
Starboard Hull (Owner’s Suite)
This is the true 3-cabin Owner’s Version, which replaces the standard two-cabin arrangement in the starboard hull with one continuous private retreat. It features a queen island berth aft and a dedicated desk and office area midships. The storage capacity is significantly higher than 4-cabin models, with full-height hanging lockers and deep cabinets that allow for organized long-term living. The forward section of the hull is dedicated to a large bathroom with a walk-in shower and a spacious vanity. Having an entire hull to yourself changes the lifestyle on board, providing a quiet sanctuary removed from the rest of the crew.
Port Hull & Guest Cabins
The port hull is configured with two private guest cabins, each featuring queen berths and their own en-suite heads. The aft cabin offers excellent ventilation and light through large hull ports, while the forward cabin provides a comfortable retreat for guests or kids. These spaces have been maintained to the same high standard as the rest of the interior, with 10-inch memory foam mattresses and custom bedding added in 2025. The layout ensures everyone on board has their own private space while maintaining a shared sense of openness in the common areas.
Engines & Mechanical
The engine rooms on Kindred Soul are pristine and reflect a history of proactive maintenance. Both Yanmar engines (3,202 / 3,102 hours) are dry and free of corrosion. The SD60 sail drives were pulled and serviced with new seals and paint during the November 2025 haul-out. While the Onan generator shows 12,701 hours, it has been a reliable workhorse for the vessel’s systems and gets consistent daily use for air conditioning and is maintained on a rigid schedule, so it operates more reliably than infrequently used gensets.
Electrical & Technical Systems
This is a US-spec vessel (240V 50A / 120V 60hz) designed for ease of use in American and Caribbean waters. The house bank was upgraded in 2025 with five Lifeline 210AH AGM batteries, providing reliable capacity for off-grid stays. The system is supported by 900 watts of solar on a gantry mounted above the davits system, which could easily be retrofitted for ~2kw of solar panels by re-orienting 4 panels to run fore-and-aft on the gantry instead of the current set up of 3 panels running athwartship. Connectivity is handled by a new Starlink Gen 3 system, and navigation is handled by a full B&G system, including Zeus 3 12” plotters at helm and nav station, Halo Radar, and Triton instruments. All systems, including the four Cruiseair Air Conditioners and the high-output 2025 Rainman 40gph watermaker, are ready for the upcoming season.
Tender & Davits
The tender setup was a major focus of the 2025 refit. It features a new 12-foot Gala center-console RIB paired with a 40HP Yamaha outboard. This package includes its own chart recorder and Bluetooth stereo, making it a highly capable vehicle for long-range exploration. To handle the increased weight and performance of this setup, the davit system was professionally reinforced. This integrated system allows you to plane easily with a full crew and gear, ensuring you can navigate through chop and cover distance safely.
Vessel History & Documentation
Kindred Soul has a transparent history that supports her current condition. Launched in 2016, she was in Tortola during Hurricane Irma, where she sustained only light cosmetic damage. There was no water intrusion, and the rig and structural grid remained intact. Professional repairs were completed immediately, and all surveys and invoices from that period are available for review. Since 2022, she has been privately owned and has undergone a massive refit to prepare her for the next chapter of international cruising.

The flybridge is a defining feature of the Lagoon 450F, offering more social space and better visibility than almost any other catamaran in the 45-to-50-foot range. It isn’t just a helm; it’s a second living room. With three captain’s chairs and an adjacent lounge pad, it serves as a command center that keeps the entire crew together while underway or at anchor.
On Kindred Soul, this space is further improved by a 2025 full Eisenglass and bug screen enclosure. The design specifically wraps around the starboard stairwell, creating a protected weather envelope for direct access to the cockpit below. This allows for safe, dry movement between levels during night watches or rainy passages without ever leaving a sheltered environment.
Safety and sail handling are simplified by the factory-optioned hardtop. Unlike aftermarket soft tops, this reinforced structure is built to be walked on, providing a stable platform for zipping the stack pack or accessing the boom. This turns routine mainsail management into a secure task, rounding out a flybridge that is as technically capable as it is comfortable.
The Owner’s Version layout transforms the entire starboard hull into a private sanctuary, a significant upgrade over the cramped feel of four-cabin models. The centerpiece is a queen island berth that offers easy access from both sides and a clear view through large hull windows. This design creates an open, airy atmosphere that feels more like a residential bedroom than a typical boat cabin.
Midships, the suite features a dedicated desk and office area, providing a quiet workspace removed from the main salon. Because this hull is not divided into two cabins, the storage capacity is vastly increased. The addition of full-height hanging lockers and deep cabinetry allows for a level of organization that makes long-term living aboard feel effortless and clutter-free.
The forward section of the hull is dedicated to a large bathroom with a walk-in shower and ample vanity storage. This layout provides a retreat where you can start your day in comfort, away from the rest of the crew. For those planning to live aboard for months at a time, the extra storage and dedicated zones in this hull are what make the Lagoon 450F a truly capable home.
It is rare to find a 2016 hull that shows this little wear. The gel coat is free of the stress cracks often found in the high-load areas where 450Fs are known to flex. On deck, the non-skid is sharp and retains its original factory texture. Below deck, the cabinetry and joinery are in excellent shape, showing none of the swelling or veneer delamination common in boats that have lived in the tropics or had heavy use. The engine rooms are dry and free of oil, grease, or salt spray. For a cruiser, a clean engine room isn’t just about aesthetics, it means you can spot a leak or a failing hose before it becomes an emergency. This boat has been hauled, painted, and had the SD60 sail drive seals serviced every season, reflecting a standard of maintenance that is visible in every corner of the vessel.
Cruisers often underestimate the importance of a capable tender, but on Kindred Soul, the 12-foot Gala A360HL functions more like a primary vehicle than a dinghy. Whether you are making a three-mile run for groceries in a chop or taking a full crew to a distant reef, this setup ensures you arrive dry and on plane. It fundamentally changes how you use the boat, expanding your range well beyond the immediate anchorage.
The tender is powered by a 40HP Yamaha outboard, providing significant power for a RIB of this size. The center console configuration includes a dedicated chartplotter, making longer coastal explorations and navigation through reef heads much simpler. Put into service in late-2024, the Gala features a double floor and a stable hull design that feels secure even when loaded with heavy gear or several passengers.
To safely manage the weight of the 40HP engine and center console, the davit system has been professionally reinforced. Many catamarans in this class struggle with the load of a modern, high-horsepower tender, but this structural support provides peace of mind when offshore or in following seas. It is a complete, integrated system designed for the reality of life at anchor, where the tender is your most used tool.
We believe buyers deserve to know not just the specs of a vessel they are considering, but the life she has lived. You aren’t just buying the vessel, you’re buying her legacy which will become yours to steward into her next adventures.
Kindred Soul was launched in France in 2016 and sailed to the British Virgin Islands to join the TMM fleet. In 2017, she was in Tortola during Hurricane Irma. Unlike many vessels in the region, she sustained only light cosmetic damage. Crucially, there was no water intrusion and no damage to the rig or structural grid. Professional repairs were completed immediately in Nanny Cay and Puerto Rico. All surveys and invoices from this period are available for review to provide full transparency on the hull’s integrity.
Following the storm and during the pandemic years, the boat saw limited use until the current owner purchased her in 2022. He performed a ton of upgrades and maintenance throughout 2024 and early 2025 in anticipation of an extended cruise that has been cut short by family needs. The boat has been hauled, bottom painted, and had sail drive seals serviced every hurricane season under the current ownership, ensuring she remains in a state of constant readiness for her next chapter.
Amber and I are the storytellers behind “everyday saturday”, a lifestyle brand that has grown to over 500k people following along as we inspire others to make more moments, more memories, more Saturdays.
As a family of six, we sold everything in 2020, traveled in an RV for a year, then spent four years living aboard our beloved Lagoon 450 catamaran. We sailed thousands of miles, sailed to 21 different countries, and learning firsthand what it actually takes to make boat life work full-time, as a family. I performed my own extensive refit of our Lagoon 450, taking it from factory bare bones to off grid powerhouse with a full electrical and solar upgrade.
I hold my USCG Masters Captain’s License and bring real offshore miles, systems knowledge, fix-it knowledge, and hands-on DIY ownership experience to every client conversation. I understand not just how a boat sails but how to live on it and be a steward of it. From layout functionality to maintenance realities, from survey red flags to long-term cruising viability, my passion is helping buyers choose the right boat and avoid the wrong ones.
Amber’s role has been just as foundational. I couldn’t have done any of it without her! She knows what it means to transition into this lifestyle (and out of it) as a wife, a mother, and the heart of a floating home. From mastering the galley, to provisioning smartly, to mastering the art of sourdough bread, to homeschooling, to building systems that allow a family to thrive off-grid, she brings a perspective that is often overlooked but absolutely essential. She is especially passionate about helping women and moms step into this life with confidence, realistic expectations, and way less overwhelm.
What began as our own leap into the unknown became something bigger. We created Sailing & Boat Life Training Experiences designed for people who felt exactly the way we did before we started: excited, completely overwhelmed, and unsure where to start. We opened up our boat for these 7 day immersive live-aboard experiences and built a full “boat life curriculum”, teaching everything from sailing to passage planning, weather routing to weather patterns, and more.
We’ve now helped others move from “Is this even possible?” to confidently stepping aboard their own vessel.
The Cruisers Co. was born from that same mission, but with the tools for a sharper focus.
To help buyers find the “RIGHT” boats.
To help sellers present their vessels with integrity and standout quality.
And to guide people through one of the most emotional purchases of their lives, into the most incredible journey of their lives, with real-world experience behind every conversation.
We couldn’t be more excited to do all of this with our incredible friends and fellow cruisers, Will and Cat. We started some of the foundation with everyday saturday. But we knew we needed exactly them to help us take this to the next level. Not just because of their extensive knowledge of sailing and systems across all styles of sailboats, but because of the humans that they are. We share the same values and high ethicals standards for ourselves and the way we do business. We’ve seen them in the wild, constantly posturing in humility, putting others before themselves and never holding tightly to things or money. Through our shared ocean experiences we became friends, have become family, and are now launching something incredibly special as business partners…The Cruisers Company!

We met in 2011 during a flotilla in the British Virgin Islands. Will was working as a skipper. Cat was on holiday from business school. A week on the water turned into a shared life shaped by sailboats, offshore passages, tropical anchorages, and the cruising community.
In the years since, we have spent five years living aboard and cruising full time, logging tens of thousands of sea miles across multiple boats, including a life changing England to Martinique transatlantic crossing. We have experienced the rhythm of life offshore and offgrid and the practical realities that come with it.
Before starting a family, we gravitated toward fast paced, adventurous cruising on our CS36. Later, we welcomed our daughter aboard our Contest 46 and discovered a different kind of voyage. Raising a child at sea from before she could walk reshaped how we think about boats, safety, comfort, and what truly matters in a cruising design. The years spent cruising together as a family are undoubtedly some of the most meaningful of our lives.
Will holds a USCG 100 Ton Master license and spent several years in his early twenties as an IYT sailing instructor, leading liveaboard trips throughout the Caribbean. Those years of professional instruction and skippering, combined with thousands of offshore miles, give him a practical understanding of seamanship, decision making under pressure, and what different crews truly need from their boats.
Will’s career, when not cutting out to cruise or work as a skipper, was in mapping and navigation systems for autonomous vehicles, primarily in project management roles. He also has a deep technical foundation in sailboat systems, maintenance, and refit work. Prior to our last extended cruise, he performed a comprehensive refit of our Contest 46, gaining firsthand knowledge of the costs, tradeoffs, and standards that separate a good boat from a great one. That experience shapes how we evaluate listings and advise clients on ownership.
Before co founding The Cruisers Company, Cat built her career in public relations, marketing, and management consulting. She brings a sharp eye for positioning, communication, and negotiation, along with a clear understanding of how to guide clients through significant decisions with confidence.
We are deeply committed to the cruising lifestyle and the people who choose it. We believe that taking the leap to go cruising can be one of the most rewarding decisions a person or family can make. Our role is to help others make that leap with clarity, preparation, and the right boat beneath them.
