Catamaran Haul out map
We’ve compiled all of the boat yards that have wide-beam catamaran-friendly haul out options in the US East Coast, Gulf Coast, Bahamas, and Caribbean. These are primarily Travel Lifts, but also some hydraulic trailers, cranes, and railways.

About This Map
This idea of this project started while cruising throughout the Caribbean and East Coast and needing to figure out where we’d have options to haul out for hurricane season and maintenance. It’s a real consideration for catamarans as the majority of boat yards built their lift wells before cats became commonplace. The yards are slowly catching up, but in some areas cat-friendly yards are still few and far between. Mast height is also a frequent limiting factor along the US East Coast where many of the rivers and bays are cut off by 65′ ICW bridges.
This is a 100% manual effort with data sources ranging from Google Maps, Google Earth, Facebook group and forum discussions, boat yard websites, and personal knowledge. Not all of the info could be officially verified, so it shouldn’t be treated as an absolute source of truth, but it will get you pointed in the right direction. We STRONGLY recommend contacting any boat yards for details about their capabilities before making any assumptions.
If you don’t have a ton of options for your vessel’s beam within the region you’re looking, I’d also recommend setting the Max Beam filter slightly smaller than what you need to see if there are any yards that may be borderline and then call them for verification. E.g. your Lagoon 450 has 25.5′ beam, so set the Max Beam slider to 24′.
The map is a work in progress and we welcome any feedback about changes we should make or yards to be added (send feedback via comment box below). I will continue adding yards in new regions, starting with areas along the major tradewinds cruising routes.
