4 Cabin (Non Charter)
The irony! Launching The Cruisers Co by listing our own beloved boat! We sold her to a wonderful family back in July (they renamed Silvi Squad), but major life changes have prevented them from committing to boat life as planned. They know it’s not good for a boat of this caliber to sit, so we are helping them find her next crew. This is a rare opportunity to step onto a proven, fully equipped family-ready vessel, that was thoroughly surveyed just months ago.
If you followed our journey on Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, and Youtube, you know this vessel. More than a boat, she’s a home. And honestly? We’d choose her all over again in a heartbeat. We poured our hearts and souls into keeping her ready and fully outfitted for long-term cruising. Refits and upgrades have amounted to over $110,000.
She’s never been chartered. Never in a hurricane. Never had an insurance claim. Always family owned. And, she’s 100% off-grid ready (we know everyone says that and it’s rarely true, but you’ll find she truly is!). The new owners have only moved her from Virginia to Georgia since handover from us.
The best boats are the ones that have been actively lived on and continually maintained, and this is exactly that. A true family cruising catamaran. No costly refits. No big projects. Tons of spares, backups, and redundancies. Move aboard and take that next weather window!
We know that static photos can’t capture the true experience of being onboard. To provide the transparency you deserve before booking flights and making travel arrangements, we’ve created this immersive 360° walkthrough.
Exterior & Deck
Three words: versatility, space, and sailability. The Lagoon 450 nails all three. Its size often flies under the radar because people assume “450” means it’s just a 45-foot boat, lumping it in with others like the Leopard 45 or Helia 44. But the reality? The Lagoon 450 is 45 feet 10 inches long which makes it more like a 46-foot catamaran. And here’s the kicker: it’s even a full foot wider than the popular Leopard 45.
When you compare the beam (width), the 450 comes in nearly 1 foot 6 inches wider than anything else in the 45-foot class. That added width, stretched across the full length of the boat, translates to a massive amount of extra space—saloon, cockpit, storage, heads, showers, deck… it all feels bigger, because it is. All that coupled with the very practical use of the flybridge deck space and you have the most versatile and spacious boat in its class. It’s the boat that becomes the go-to for all your buddy boat hangs and dinner gatherings!
That wider footprint also means more comfort at sea. She’s stable, spacious, and surprisingly smooth under sail. And speaking of sailing: the Lagoon 450 sails just as well—if not better—than most of its peers. It’s a cruiser’s boat through and through, with great handling and a layout that makes passagemaking feel effortless.
Oh, and here’s something most people overlook: the 450 draws just 4.3 feet. That’s shallower than most other boats in its category, which means you can tuck into those dreamy anchorages that others can’t reach.
Salon & Galley
The galley on Silvi Squad is truly one of a kind amongst Lagoon 450’s. In 2023 a full galley refit transformed the space into an open, bright, functional, and genuinely enjoyable place to cook. The engineered marble countertops bring a clean, modern feel with bright white surfaces that open up the space. The counters were extended a couple inches to add more counter space than stock. The three very small factory sinks were replaced with a large basin sink paired with a smaller drying sink, an efficient induction cooktop (with a backup still in the box for redundancy) and added ample storage throughout. Cooking is a massive part of what makes a great boat-life experience and this very practical and workable galley makes that possible!
The design of the 450 was so far ahead of it’s time, it has remained timeless. The flow from the cockpit to the salon and all the inside/outside space for lounging, hanging, cooking, and serving is a small part of what has made the Lagoon 450 one of the worlds most sold catamarans of all time.
Starboard Cabins & Heads
The best layout for families! Don’t mistake this for a “charter version”. When the first family ordered it they wanted a 4 cabin model so it has some unique live-aboard features that charter versions do not have, like extra storage. The starboard hull aboard this Lagoon 450 has been thoughtfully configured for real family cruising. It offers two private cabins each with loads of storage, connected by a long, quiet hallway that creates genuine separation from the salon and port hull.
Stepping into the aft cabin, you’re greeted with a full queen berth, generous storage, and an en-suite head with a separate shower. Natural light, ventilation, and privacy make it a comfortable retreat after long passages or full days at anchor. Moving forward down the private hallway, you’ll find the tapered queen berth in the forward cabin with its own full head. For guests or older kids, this layout provides independence and quiet from the rest of the boat.
Because this vessel was outfitted intentionally for family, off-grid cruising, the forward shower stall has been converted into a dedicated deep freezer space. For serious liveaboard families and long-range cruisers, cold storage is literally freedom. The added freezer dramatically expands provisioning capability. Stock up on proteins before remote passages, take advantage of bulk buys in lower-cost ports, and reduce marina runs and reliance on staying near cities so you can stay out longer, comfortably. No permanent changes or modifications were made to the shower so if you’d prefer to have the shower available, simply remove the deep freezer and turn the water on.
Many Lagoon 450 owners discover that four separate showers are unnecessary for private use. Converting one into deep storage is a practical move for full-time liveaboard priorities.
Port Cabins & Heads
The port hull has been configured as the ideal owner’s side, with the aft cabin offering the most storage onboard and the longest private hallway, creating excellent separation and making it the natural master stateroom. The en-suite features a spacious walk-in shower with shower door for added comfort during extended cruising. Beneath the hallway sole (floor), the watermaker is neatly installed with controls easily within reach, keeping systems accessible, quiet, and out of the living space.
Forward, the tapered queen berth provides space and comfort along with generous storage. This cabin also houses a brand-new 7kg washing machine in a dedicated cabinet, a major upgrade for liveaboard convenience. The forward head includes additional drawer storage in the shower space, currently used to expand pantry capacity for off-grid cruising.
Engines & Mechanical
One glance at the engines and generator, and you know the story. This is not a hard-run charter vessel. It is an owner-maintained cruising boat. Oil and filters have been changed consistently at manufacturer-recommended intervals, and routine service has been performed proactively rather than reactively (maintenance log available). Both engine rooms are clean, dry, and free of corrosion, reflecting careful oversight and preventative maintenance rather than deferred upkeep. Engine and generator hours remain notably low for her age, underscoring light private use and responsible ownership (And smart weather routing in order to sail vs. motor!).
Upgraded Off-Grid Electrical System (see an Instagram video I did about this HERE)
This vessel is fully off-grid capable, powered by a top-tier suite of Victron hardware and industry-leading components throughout. She’s equipped with 3,000 watts of bifacial solar panels mounted to a massive stern solar arch. This not only gives the panels the best unshaded view of the sun all day, but also makes an incredible “patio cover” to keep the elements out of the cockpit. The solar is routed through Victron MPPT controllers, charging a hefty 1,000Ah lithium battery bank made up of USA-made Battle Born Batteries. Occasional shortfalls in solar charging on cloudy days are quickly made up for using the powerful and reliable Cummins Onan 11kW generator, which can handle nearly all major loads running at the same time if needed.
At the core of the system is a powerful 5kW Victron Quattro Inverter/Charger, giving you seamless power to all onboard systems. The entire boat has been wired to run exclusively off the inverter if desired—including the air conditioning, washer/dryer, watermaker, water heater, induction cooktop, electric oven, and more. Shore power optional! You’ll notice the genset hours are extremely low for the year as a result of this high producing power plant.
The Victron Cerbo is the brain that ties it all together. It allows you to monitor every detail of power usage from the Victron GX Touch 50 display or directly from a smartphone/tablet. With Starlink connected, you can even see the electrical system status from anywhere in the world if you leave the boat!
In practical terms, the system performs exactly as designed for full-time cruising. Morning battery state typically sits around 60 percent and returns to the mid-80s by late morning under normal sun conditions. High-draw systems such as the watermaker and water heater can be operated mid-day while solar input continues to replenish the bank, with full charge routinely achieved by mid-afternoon. The result is true autonomy and highly reduced generator dependence.
This is a European 230V/50hz vessel, but is adaptable to American 240v/50hz/50A shore power. There are step down transformers on board that convert 230v to 120v so US appliances can be safely used. Keep in mind, most of the world runs on 230v/50hz so it turns into a big bonus when you leave the states!
Electronics & Communications System
The vessel is equipped with a full suite of recently upgraded Raymarine electronics (2022-2024), highlighted by the addition of a Raymarine Axiom 12 MFD at the salon navigation station, fully networked to the helm display. This upgrade allows complete system control and monitoring from inside the saloon, including charting, radar, and autopilot functions via the Raymarine Smart Remote. Combined with the Lagoon 450’s excellent salon visibility, the nav station becomes a highly functional watch station, offering clear sightlines while maintaining full access to radar and navigation data for night passages or adverse conditions. Our sail plan in bad weather was always to drop all sails and go enjoy the calmness of the saloon and nav station.
Dinghy & Outboard
Upgraded to a 2023 Highfield 380 Classic aluminum RIB paired with a 2022 Suzuki 25hp 3cyl outboard. This oversized tender planes easily with 6-8 people and gear. This was a $12,500 upgrade that you won’t have to worry about for a long time. It’s ideal for all day exploring, loads of provisioning, and being able to cover long distances with speed. It’s your second vehicle, as important as the boat, and it’s a good one. Custom protective chaps added in 2024 to protect the ribs from the sun.
Flexofold 3-Blade Folding Props
The vessel was upgraded in 2024 with 3-blade folding Flexofold propellers, providing a significant performance boost over the standard factory setup. Under power, these propellers deliver much higher thrust and improved maneuverability.
When under sail, the blades fold to drastically reduce underwater drag. This allows the boat to maintain higher speeds and better efficiency in light wind conditions. Additionally, the folding design eliminates the noise and mechanical wear caused by fixed propellers that constantly rotate the transmission while the boat is moving. This results in a quieter cabin and a longer lifespan for your drive train.
Survey
A comprehensive out-of-water survey was completed in July 2025 by Pete Eaves (SAMS/AMS). The full report is available for review with serious inquiries following a initial vessel viewing or discovery call.
Bulkheads
The Lagoon-issued bulkhead reinforcement service bulletin was professionally completed by an authorized Lagoon service facility. The official Lagoon certification is available, along with photos showing some of the the process and clear shots of the exposed bulkheads, which were in good condition prior to the reinforcement. This work was done proactively and by the book as soon as Lagoon issued the recall, so the next owners can sail confidently knowing this common concern has been addressed.

Affectionately known as “the office,” the flybridge is hands-down one of the best features of the Lagoon 450F. It’s always the crowd favorite when we have guests or fellow cruisers onboard!
We chose this model after realizing most helm seats on similar-sized cats could only fit 2-3 people max. This one can fit our entire family with room to spare, comfortably. To maximize its comfort, we added a custom oversized fiberglass hardtop bimini, turning the flybridge into a true all-weather space. Whether you’re underway or anchored out, it functions like a second living room, catching the breeze, soaking up the view, and giving you full 360° visibility from the helm. It’s equal parts lounge, lookout, and command center; another room in the house!
Between the helm seating and the oversized lounge pad up top, there’s plenty of room for the whole crew…and then some. It’s one of the most social spots on the boat, perfect for morning coffee, sunset sundowners, or just relaxing together under sail. This upper space is a big part of why the Lagoon 450F offers one of the best space-to-value ratios among 45–50 ft catamarans.
Imagine this…a boat that doesn’t need shore power, shore water, or propane refills, and rarely needs diesel. Imagine how long you could stay out there. Imagine the remote places she could take you. Now stop imagining…this is that boat!
When we did the complete electrical refit, we designed it with one goal in mind: dependence on nothing but the sun. With 3kW of bifacial solar, a 1,000Ah lithium bank, and a 5kW Victron Quattro inverter/charger, this system takes serious 12V power and turns it into real, liveaboard comfort. It’s a work of art when you think about it!
One of the biggest upgrades was rerouting the high-draw AC loads (watermaker, air conditioning, washer, microwave) so they’re no longer “generator-only.” They now run off the Victron inverter, which means the generator is really just a backup for those rare multiple cloudy days or if you want to run all five A/C units at once. Combine that with 270 gallons of diesel onboard and this boat becomes what cruising is supposed to be: freedom. We only filled up diesel about three times per year (reflected in the low engine hours). You can get lost out there for a very, very long time.
The redesigned galley is incredible! It’s far more functional than the factory layout and the white engineered marble countertops instantly make the entire saloon feel upgraded. The biggest change though is going all electric. With 3,000 watts of solar and a solid lithium bank, induction cooking is the way. It produces less heat in the tropics and removes the hassle of tracking down propane refills. Lagoon’s passthrough window keeps the space open and connected, so the galley remains central to the life of the boat.
I’ll be honest, we came into this thinking the same thing a lot of people do about the Lagoon 450. Big “condomaran,” probably more condo than sailboat. We were wrong. Once we actually started putting in some miles, we were genuinely impressed with what she can do. With nearly 46 feet of waterline and a generous sail plan, she can move. It’s completely normal to see days averaging 7 to 8 knots, which for a cruising cat of this size is impressive. She feels stable, predictable, easy to manage, and VERY easy to single hand. The addition of Flexofold three-blade folding props in 2024 were an amazing upgrade, especially for those lighter wind days, reducing drag and keeping her quiet through the water.
We believe buyers deserve to know not just the specs of a vessel they are considering, but the life she has lived. You aren’t just buying the vessel, you’re buying her legacy which will become yours to steward into her next adventures.
Silvi Squad was picked up at the factory in France by her original owners, who sailed her across the Atlantic to the Caribbean. She was later sold to her second owners, an Australian family, who cared for her for more than six years while cruising throughout the Eastern and Western Caribbean. They’re passionate shark conservationists, which is the fun story behind the shark decals along the waterline.
In 2021, she became SV Everyday Saturday when we (brandon & amber) purchased her from the Aussie family. We sat at the table with them as they told us the stories and showed us on a map everywhere she took them. It was magical! Over the next four years we were her stewards through her biggest refit period, continuing to cruise her throughout the Caribbean along the way. She’s only made one ocean crossing under her keels.
We sold her to her current owners in July 2025. They took handover in the Chesapeake and enjoyed a handful of weekend trips while getting comfortable with the boat. Their original plan was to spend this season in the Bahamas, but life got in the way and is forcing the sale. Even with a short ownership window, they kept the maintenance log updated, and she’s fully ready for her next owners.
Amber and I are the storytellers behind “everyday saturday”, a lifestyle brand that has grown to over 500k people following along as we inspire others to make more moments, more memories, more Saturdays.
As a family of six, we sold everything in 2020, traveled in an RV for a year, then spent four years living aboard our beloved Lagoon 450 catamaran. We sailed thousands of miles, sailed to 21 different countries, and learning firsthand what it actually takes to make boat life work full-time, as a family. I performed my own extensive refit of our Lagoon 450, taking it from factory bare bones to off grid powerhouse with a full electrical and solar upgrade.
I hold my USCG Masters Captain’s License and bring real offshore miles, systems knowledge, fix-it knowledge, and hands-on DIY ownership experience to every client conversation. I understand not just how a boat sails but how to live on it and be a steward of it. From layout functionality to maintenance realities, from survey red flags to long-term cruising viability, my passion is helping buyers choose the right boat and avoid the wrong ones.
Amber’s role has been just as foundational. I couldn’t have done any of it without her! She knows what it means to transition into this lifestyle (and out of it) as a wife, a mother, and the heart of a floating home. From mastering the galley, to provisioning smartly, to mastering the art of sourdough bread, to homeschooling, to building systems that allow a family to thrive off-grid, she brings a perspective that is often overlooked but absolutely essential. She is especially passionate about helping women and moms step into this life with confidence, realistic expectations, and way less overwhelm.
What began as our own leap into the unknown became something bigger. We created Sailing & Boat Life Training Experiences designed for people who felt exactly the way we did before we started: excited, completely overwhelmed, and unsure where to start. We opened up our boat for these 7 day immersive live-aboard experiences and built a full “boat life curriculum”, teaching everything from sailing to passage planning, weather routing to weather patterns, and more.
We’ve now helped others move from “Is this even possible?” to confidently stepping aboard their own vessel.
The Cruisers Co. was born from that same mission, but with the tools for a sharper focus.
To help buyers find the “RIGHT” boats.
To help sellers present their vessels with integrity and standout quality.
And to guide people through one of the most emotional purchases of their lives, into the most incredible journey of their lives, with real-world experience behind every conversation.
We couldn’t be more excited to do all of this with our incredible friends and fellow cruisers, Will and Cat. We started some of the foundation with everyday saturday. But we knew we needed exactly them to help us take this to the next level. Not just because of their extensive knowledge of sailing and systems across all styles of sailboats, but because of the humans that they are. We share the same values and high ethicals standards for ourselves and the way we do business. We’ve seen them in the wild, constantly posturing in humility, putting others before themselves and never holding tightly to things or money. Through our shared ocean experiences we became friends, have become family, and are now launching something incredibly special as business partners…The Cruisers Company!

We met in 2011 during a flotilla in the British Virgin Islands. Will was working as a skipper. Cat was on holiday from business school. A week on the water turned into a shared life shaped by sailboats, offshore passages, tropical anchorages, and the cruising community.
In the years since, we have spent five years living aboard and cruising full time, logging tens of thousands of sea miles across multiple boats, including a life changing England to Martinique transatlantic crossing. We have experienced the rhythm of life offshore and offgrid and the practical realities that come with it.
Before starting a family, we gravitated toward fast paced, adventurous cruising on our CS36. Later, we welcomed our daughter aboard our Contest 46 and discovered a different kind of voyage. Raising a child at sea from before she could walk reshaped how we think about boats, safety, comfort, and what truly matters in a cruising design. The years spent cruising together as a family are undoubtedly some of the most meaningful of our lives.
Will holds a USCG 100 Ton Master license and spent several years in his early twenties as an IYT sailing instructor, leading liveaboard trips throughout the Caribbean. Those years of professional instruction and skippering, combined with thousands of offshore miles, give him a practical understanding of seamanship, decision making under pressure, and what different crews truly need from their boats.
Will’s career, when not cutting out to cruise or work as a skipper, was in mapping and navigation systems for autonomous vehicles, primarily in project management roles. He also has a deep technical foundation in sailboat systems, maintenance, and refit work. Prior to our last extended cruise, he performed a comprehensive refit of our Contest 46, gaining firsthand knowledge of the costs, tradeoffs, and standards that separate a good boat from a great one. That experience shapes how we evaluate listings and advise clients on ownership.
Before co founding The Cruisers Company, Cat built her career in public relations, marketing, and management consulting. She brings a sharp eye for positioning, communication, and negotiation, along with a clear understanding of how to guide clients through significant decisions with confidence.
We are deeply committed to the cruising lifestyle and the people who choose it. We believe that taking the leap to go cruising can be one of the most rewarding decisions a person or family can make. Our role is to help others make that leap with clarity, preparation, and the right boat beneath them.
