Grenada
Owner's Version - 5 cabin/ 3 head
This one is special! We buddy-boated with Wisdom while we were out there cruising just before we launchd The Cruisers Company. So we know this boat, and we know this family! The owners specifically chose the 5-cabin owner’s version to ensure there was always room to host the hangs and guests while keeping their starboard hull as a private sanctuary. The special-ordered mid cabin on the owner’s side adds loads of versatility or storage space. The current owners use it to keep their little one close.
One of the best secrets of Wisdom is the flybridge enclosure: it’s not just a helm station, but a second living room where you can zip up the clears, make a bed, and sleep under the stars in total comfort on or off passage. Despite her size, she is surprisingly nimble and very easy to single hand when the crew is off shift. The self-tacking jib and mast placement allow for tighter upwind angles and easier single-handed sailing than you’d expect from a 50-footer.
Wisdom is a global citizen ready for US Waters. While Wisdom is currently St. Kitts flagged, she is perfectly positioned for an American owner. For those looking to cruise the US, she can operate seamlessly under a 12-month US Cruising License, allowing you to enjoy American waters without the need for formal importation or the heavy tariffs. Our experienced closing and documentation team can help navigate these waters with you.
Currently cruising the Eastern Caribbean, she is scheduled to arrive in Grenada in July 2026 for haul out at Clark’s Court for fresh bottom painting, polish and waxing topsides, and hurricane season storage in early August.
We know that static photos can’t capture the true experience of being onboard. To provide the transparency you deserve before booking flights and making travel arrangements, we’ve created this immersive 360° walkthrough. Explore every cabin, take in the view from the expansive flybridge, walk the decks, inspect the engine rooms and really get a feel for what it’s like to be onboard.
Exterior & Deck
Massive entertaining spaces – Wisdom is designed for hosting. The cockpit flows seamlessly into the salon, creating a massive indoor-outdoor living area, while the forward lounge offers a private retreat for sunsets. The Flybridge has a full factory-optioned hardtop bimini and complete wet weather enclosure providing shade and protection around the helm seating and huge daybed area. It creates a genuine second living room where you can escape the rest of the boat, or pilot the vessel in total comfort.
Push-button, singlehanded sailing – Despite being a big boat with a large sail area, Wisdom is set up for easy singlehanded operation. All flybridge winches are electric, so raising the big fully battened square top main is a low effort operation, as is trimming the sheets. An electric Harken Flatwinder trims the captive traveler line with ease, greatly improving ease of control of the main when fully loaded. The designers brought the mast further aft than previous models, allowing for a large self-tacking jib, resulting in a powerful sail plan that can be managed by a single watchkeeper without ever leaving the helm. The removable furling Code 0 tacked to the bowsprit rounds out the sail plan and allows for making good speed at reaching angles even in light winds.
Hydraulic Tenderlift / Swim Platform – The hydraulic platform makes launching and recovering the dinghy a one-person job accomplished in well under a minute with no physical exertion. When not securing the dingy, the platform has two leaves that fold down to create a huge swimming and sun bathing platform.
Salon & Galley
Panoramic views and massive storage – The salon is bathed in light with 360-degree views and features a massive U-shaped settee and dining table that is stepped up from galley floor, providing useful separation between the working versus relaxing area. Ventilation is vastly improved over earlier generations of catamarans by doing away with the small forward facing hatches and replacing them with around a large downward-sliding window forward of the settee, allowing huge volumes of air to move through the salon and galley and out through the cockpit, cooling all three spaces. It is difficult to overstate the value how critical of an element this is to comfort in tropical cruising.
Living aboard Wisdom means no compromises to convenience. The galley is centered around a large 4-burner range and oven, microwave, and dishwasher with ample counter space to port, center, and starboard, giving multiple preparation spaces. You will never run out of space for provisions, with cold storage FIVE separate refrigerators and freezers. The galley features 3 stainless steel Isotherm units: a drawer style fridge and freezer as well as a front opening freezer. There is an additional stainless steel 130L front-opening fridge built into in the port hull passageway as well as a freestanding cooler-style fridge/freezer unit for flexible storage.
Starboard Owner’s Hull
A true sanctuary – The entire starboard hull is dedicated to the owner. The aft master cabin features a queen island bed and huge hull windows that let you wake up to the view of the anchorage. Forward of the bed there is ample closet and drawer space leading up to a large desk and corner settee. The desk area provides the option of having a dedicated, comfortable office space that could easily accommodate a large or dual monitors.
Spa-like Head – Forward is a massive bathroom with a large separate shower stall, two countertops with Jack and Jill sinks positioned across from each other, and an enclosed toilet, offering privacy and space rarely found on a boat this size.
Versatile Mid-Cabin – This unique Owner’s 5-cabin layout includes a special mid-ship cabin on the owner’s side. Currently used as a bedroom for the owners’ young child, it offers the next owners the opportunity to keep a child close without sacrificing the spaciousness of their owner’s hull or convert it to a massive walk-in closet (offered as a Lagoon option), workspace, or storage area.
Port Cabins & Heads
VIP Treatment for guests – The port hull features three double cabins. Fore and aft are two equally large and beautiful cabins with queen-sized island beds, both with large hanging lockers and spacious en-suite heads with separate showers stalls. Both cabins are spacious, airy and bright from the large hull windows and overhead hatches. The third cabin is midship, mirroring the one in the starboard hull, featuring a queen-sized double bed.
The forward head has a separate external door to the hallway, allowing it to be used as a day head for guests or shared if someone is occupying the port midship cabin
There is even a crew cabin in the port forepeak, perfect for extra storage or a crew member.
Engines & Mechanical
Wisdom is powered by the upgraded Yanmar 4JH80 diesel engines (80hp), a significant step up from the standard 57hp models. These are mated to robust SD60 saildrives (a major improvement over the previous generation SD50s) and push the boat effortlessly with Flexofold folding propellers.
Incredible Access – Maintenance is a dream in the spacious engine rooms, providing comfortable access to all sides of the engines. These spaces also house the heart of the mechanical systems, giving you easy access to the steering gear, hydraulic pump for the tender lift, and electrical system.
A 24v electric bowthruster in the port bow with dedicated batteries and charger provides a significant increase in close quarters maneuverability.
Electrical System
Off-grid energy is not a problem aboard Wisdom. The 12V house bank has been massively upgraded with 3x 460AH Epoch Li-Ion batteries (Total 1380AH) installed in June 2024 in Sint Maarten. Solar power is provided by a 1580W solar array (4x 115W + 4x 130W on the roof + 3x 200W on the bimini) keeping the batteries topped up via modern Victron SmartSolar MPPT controllers. Occasional shortfalls in solar charging on cloudy days are quickly made up for using the powerful and reliable Cummins Onan 11kW generator, which also allows running multiple high-load appliances like the air conditioners and 100L/h watermaker simultaneously.
This is a European 230V/50hz vessel, but is adaptable to American 240v/60hz/50A shore power. The current owners spent the 2025 hurricane season cruising the US east coast, staying in many marinas along the way with no concerns of compatibility.
Electronics & Communications System
Full B&G Suite – The navigation station is equipped with the top-tier B&G Zeus 3S 16″ chartplotter at the helm, providing crystal clear data and radar overlay, along with a full suite of sailing instruments. The system includes B&G Halo 20+ Radar, B&G Autopilot with remote, and NAIS 500 AIS transceiver to keep you safe and visible. Starlink internet rounds out the communications suite, providing worldwide high speed connectivity, even hundreds of miles offshore.
Dinghy & Outboard
The tender is a 2023 Highfield CL340 (11′) RIB with a center console, offering a dry and stable ride. It is powered by a reliable Suzuki 25hp 4-stroke outboard (new in 2023), which is plenty of power to get the family and groceries on plane and back to the mothership quickly.

This may be THEE best of the many upgrade boxes that were checked when Wisdom was ordered from the factory. Designed for true single-handed operation, the wireless remote allows you to submerge the lift and drive the dinghy straight over the cradle, eliminating the real annoyance of davit lines or manual winches. For those days at anchor, the platform folds out and lowers to the waterline, transforming the transom into a teak-laid “beach club” for easy swim access or morning coffee by the water. A true upgrade to live-aboard comfort and convenience.
The crown jewel of the Lagoon 50. Protected by a massive factory hardtop, the flybridge offers complete weather protection with its full enclosure, turning what is often a sun-scorched deck into a usable, four-season ‘sky lounge.’ It creates a vital second social zone, separating the helm space from the relaxation space so you can run the boat without disrupting the hangs. Whether you’re staying dry during a squall or rolling up the clears to let the breeze in, it’s the perfect retreat for swaying in the hammock while forgetting what day it is.
Look, we’ve seen our fair share of owner’s versions over the years. But we were absolutely blown away the first time we stepped down below to capture media for Wisdom. A bedroom, office, lounge, endless storage, bathroom with dual vanities, massive shower, AND a private toilet? Incredible. But then we noticed a doorway amidship. ‘What’s this?’ A mid-cabin on the owner’s side? This is the ‘unicorn layout’ that solves the biggest dilemma for cruising families! Ample space for all the kids AND a spacious owner’s suite for Mom and Dad. With Wisdom, it’s not one or the other, it’s both!
The first thing we noticed about the mechanical spaces is that there is no “boat yoga” or Tetris required. These compartments are so spacious I had to hold Will back from changing the oil just because! There’s a big difference between charter boat engines and owner-maintained engines like Wisdom. No rust, no corrosion. Just squeaky clean engines and spaces as if it were just sailed away from the shipyard. Tip: If you like to nerd out on these things like we do, go back through the Cru Co 360° Tour and click your way into the engine rooms.
Since being launched at the factory, Wisdom has strictly been in the loving hands of private owners. She’s never been chartered. She has always stayed well away from hurricanes and has never been damaged.
Wisdom’s first owners picked her up from the factory in France and quickly departed for a Trans-Atlantic crossing to the Eastern Caribbean, arriving in Sint Maarten in early 2023. Unexpected personal events arose, putting a premature end to their cruise and resulting in the vessel needing to be put up for sale, which led to the current owners purchasing her in mid-2023 in SXM. They are a lovely family of 3 with a young son that has lived aboard full time and slowly cruised Wisdom throughout the Eastern Caribbean islands with a trip north through the Bahamas and up the US East Coast for the 2025 hurricane season. They recently arrived back in Eastern Caribbean where they will continue to cruise full time while raising their young son until new caretakers come along to continue Wisdom’s legacy.
Their remarks about life aboard Wisdom:
“I love the space and the solidness of Wisdom. I like that she’s a big, heavy boat. She feels safe and strong in all sea conditions. The visibility is incredible with all the windows letting in light. One of my favorite features is the helm. On long passages, we zip up the enclosure, make a bed, and sleep right up top together. That way there is no separation between our crew. We have always been impressed with the sailability, too. I love that I can single-hand her, she is very easy to manage alone.”
“For me, it’s the space. We always had room to host and still have plenty of space for ourselves. We are often the boat that hosts hangouts in the anchorage because there are so many distinct zones; the kids can hang out separately from the adults. I also love having the forward cockpit cushions open to the sun since the rest of the lounge environments are nicely shaded.
I love our enclosures, being able to zip up the aft cockpit when it’s raining and have that area stay dry and usable. When we were on the East Coast in the cold, that was a gift! And I LOVE having the mid-bunk spaces. Our son sleeps in one and we use the other for storage, which leaves the main cabins always ready and available for guests.”
We met in 2011 during a flotilla in the British Virgin Islands. Will was working as a skipper. Cat was on holiday from business school. A week on the water turned into a shared life shaped by sailboats, offshore passages, tropical anchorages, and the cruising community.
In the years since, we have spent five years living aboard and cruising full time, logging tens of thousands of sea miles across multiple boats, including a life changing England to Martinique transatlantic crossing. We have experienced the rhythm of life offshore and offgrid and the practical realities that come with it.
Before starting a family, we gravitated toward fast paced, adventurous cruising on our CS36. Later, we welcomed our daughter aboard our Contest 46 and discovered a different kind of voyage. Raising a child at sea from before she could walk reshaped how we think about boats, safety, comfort, and what truly matters in a cruising design. The years spent cruising together as a family are undoubtedly some of the most meaningful of our lives.
Will holds a USCG 100 Ton Master license and spent several years in his early twenties as an IYT sailing instructor, leading liveaboard trips throughout the Caribbean. Those years of professional instruction and skippering, combined with thousands of offshore miles, give him a practical understanding of seamanship, decision making under pressure, and what different crews truly need from their boats.
Will’s career, when not cutting out to cruise or work as a skipper, was in mapping and navigation systems for autonomous vehicles, primarily in project management roles. He also has a deep technical foundation in sailboat systems, maintenance, and refit work. Prior to our last extended cruise, he performed a comprehensive refit of our Contest 46, gaining firsthand knowledge of the costs, tradeoffs, and standards that separate a good boat from a great one. That experience shapes how we evaluate listings and advise clients on ownership.
Before co founding The Cruisers Company, Cat built her career in public relations, marketing, and management consulting. She brings a sharp eye for positioning, communication, and negotiation, along with a clear understanding of how to guide clients through significant decisions with confidence.
We are deeply committed to the cruising lifestyle and the people who choose it. We believe that taking the leap to go cruising can be one of the most rewarding decisions a person or family can make. Our role is to help others make that leap with clarity, preparation, and the right boat beneath them.

Amber and I are the storytellers behind “everyday saturday”, a lifestyle brand that has grown to over 500k people following along as we inspire others to make more moments, more memories, more Saturdays.
As a family of six, we sold everything in 2020, traveled in an RV for a year, then spent four years living aboard our beloved Lagoon 450 catamaran. We sailed thousands of miles, sailed to 21 different countries, and learning firsthand what it actually takes to make boat life work full-time, as a family. I performed my own extensive refit of our Lagoon 450, taking it from factory bare bones to off grid powerhouse with a full electrical and solar upgrade.
I hold my USCG Masters Captain’s License and bring real offshore miles, systems knowledge, fix-it knowledge, and hands-on DIY ownership experience to every client conversation. I understand not just how a boat sails but how to live on it and be a steward of it. From layout functionality to maintenance realities, from survey red flags to long-term cruising viability, my passion is helping buyers choose the right boat and avoid the wrong ones.
Amber’s role has been just as foundational. I couldn’t have done any of it without her! She knows what it means to transition into this lifestyle (and out of it) as a wife, a mother, and the heart of a floating home. From mastering the galley, to provisioning smartly, to mastering the art of sourdough bread, to homeschooling, to building systems that allow a family to thrive off-grid, she brings a perspective that is often overlooked but absolutely essential. She is especially passionate about helping women and moms step into this life with confidence, realistic expectations, and way less overwhelm.
What began as our own leap into the unknown became something bigger. We created Sailing & Boat Life Training Experiences designed for people who felt exactly the way we did before we started: excited, completely overwhelmed, and unsure where to start. We opened up our boat for these 7 day immersive live-aboard experiences and built a full “boat life curriculum”, teaching everything from sailing to passage planning, weather routing to weather patterns, and more.
We’ve now helped others move from “Is this even possible?” to confidently stepping aboard their own vessel.
The Cruisers Co. was born from that same mission, but with the tools for a sharper focus.
To help buyers find the “RIGHT” boats.
To help sellers present their vessels with integrity and standout quality.
And to guide people through one of the most emotional purchases of their lives, into the most incredible journey of their lives, with real-world experience behind every conversation.
We couldn’t be more excited to do all of this with our incredible friends and fellow cruisers, Will and Cat. We started some of the foundation with everyday saturday. But we knew we needed exactly them to help us take this to the next level. Not just because of their extensive knowledge of sailing and systems across all styles of sailboats, but because of the humans that they are. We share the same values and high ethicals standards for ourselves and the way we do business. We’ve seen them in the wild, constantly posturing in humility, putting others before themselves and never holding tightly to things or money. Through our shared ocean experiences we became friends, have become family, and are now launching something incredibly special as business partners…The Cruisers Company!
